Kathak Mudras

In kathak special physical state in which we demonstrate our expression is called MUDRAS . Mainly mudras are formed with hand movement , so it is also called "HASTHABHINAYA ".
 
There are two types of mudras :-
JOINED MUDRAS-> Mudras formed with both hands are called JOINED MUDRAS.

UNJOINED MUDRAS-> Mudras formed with only single hand are called UNJOINED MUDRAS.

 
SOME MUDRAS ARE GIVEN BELOW WITH THERE TYPICAL NAME & MEANING
PATAKA--> flag, sun, king, palace ,sound etc
HANSASYA--> red colour , black colour , row , eyesight , bright etc.
HANSPAKSH--> friend , mountain , moon , air, hair, calling someone etc.
SHEEKHER--> path , eye , foot , walking , discovery etc .
TRIPATAKA--> sunset ,body etc.
URNENABHA --> horse , tiger , lotus , ice , fruit etc .
MUDRAKSH--> It is also called DYAN MUDRA because it represent meditation ,except this sea , heaven , death , memory etc are another meanings
MUKUR--> sun rays , bangle , vedas etc .
SUCHIMUKH--> world , month , eyebrow etc .
KARTARIMUKH--> man , house , word , purity , sin , priest etc .
